I'M NEW

I'm New - What to Expect

Welcome to Maghull Baptist Church. We are pleased you are thinking about visiting us here at MBC. Whether you are new to the area and looking for a church or maybe exploring the Christian Faith, we would love to meet you.

It can be daunting visiting a church for the first time so here is everything you need to know to make it as easy as possible.

Visiting us on a Sunday

We meet every Sunday at 11am for a family orientated service, and again at 6:30pm for a bible study and prayer time.

Our Sunday services are an opportunity for us to connect with God, hear bible based teaching and join together in worship. We are a family Church with many different ages and it is a great opportunity for us to connect with each other.

You can find us on Hall lane, Maghull off the A59. We have our own car park, which is accessed from Old Hall Road.

Our Sunday Morning service starts at 11am and usually last about an hour. We keep things informal so come as you are - no dress code!

There is a baby area to the left of the church as you go in and also tables with little chairs for any younger ones who attend to get involved in some colouring or making as part of the church service.

We start with a time of worship, a welcome with any notices of events coming up.

There is then a talk based on the bible and how this is relevant to our everyday life and any little ones are usually invited to colour or make something at the same time the talk is going on.

We are a family church so please don't worry about any little ones making some noise, but if you do feel you want to take them out then we have a creche with toys and a livestream of the service on a big TV.

We usually have time for a chance for a chat and a catch up. So we hope you get a chance to stay and chat for a while or to ask us any questions!

We run a more formal bible study and prayer time on a Sunday evening, starting at 6:30pm in the back hall of the church

It is important for us as a church that we are fully assessible and inclusive. We have wheelchair assess, disabled toilet, baby change facilities, Creche and a hearing loop system in place.

CONNECT GROUPS

We believe that we can learn, pray and support each other much better in smaller groups and so we have a number of Connect Groups that meet during the week.  The provide a safe environment where we can establish deeper relationships with each other, helping each other through difficult times and grow together in our understanding of the bible.  For most weeks the groups will spend time understanding more about the teaching that was given on the Sunday through some discussion questions.

There are some groups that run in the daytime, some that run in the evenings, and they take place across most days in the week. We encourage everyone who comes to MBC to join one of these groups so please ask one of the leaders who will steer you towards a Connect Group that fits best for you.

Please view our other pages about any other information about groups or activities we have going on at MBC.
